Appointments

We use an appointment system because we believe that this gives you the convenience of knowing when you will be seen and enables us to plan our workload most effectively. Appointments are offered for 10 minutes.

Doctors appointments between 8.30 – 10.00am and after 4.30pm can be booked four weeks in advance.

Doctors appointments between 10.10am and 4.20pm will be bookable on the day of the appointment.

We also have clinics on alternate Saturdays and late appointments 3 sessions per week. The appointments for these extra clinics can be booked four weeks in advance. There will not be any emergency or walk-in appointments during these clinics. All emergency cover will still be provided by NHS111.

Appointments with the Nursing Team before 10am and after 4.30pm can be booked two weeks ahead. All other appointments can be booked one week ahead.

For all appointments please telephone the front desk on 020 8305 3007 or ask at Reception about online booking.

If you make an appointment and are then unable to keep it, please let the Practice know so that we may offer the appointment to another patient. If you do not arrive for an appointment, and you do not cancel it, you may be asked to register with another Practice.

Home visits

If you think that you need a doctor to visit you at home, either because you are housebound or because you are too ill to be brought to the Centre, please telephone 020 8305 3006, before 10am whenever possible. When requesting a home visit it is helpful to give as much information as you feel able to the receptionist as this will enable the doctor to assess the urgency of your call. You can be assured that your call will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Telephone advice

For medical advice only, directly from the doctor, please telephone the switchboard between 11.0 am and 12 noon and 4.30 pm to 5 pm on 020 8858 5738.

Our nursing team

You may not always need to see a Doctor! The team of nurses at Fairfield provide a range of specialised clinics and services which mean you may not need to see a GP – ask our receptionists when booking your appointment. To see a nurse you can book up to 2 weeks in advance. Find out more.
